Tibetan Gentian comes from the high Himalayas, where traditionally there have always been intense spiritual practices held over centuries. Thus, this plant contains the vibration of high spirituality, and the remembrance of how to reach our peak potentials and connections with Spirit and with Source.

This essence was made on August 17th, 2009, by Deb Soule, master herbalist and creator of Avena Botanicals near Rockport, Maine. The plant from which the blossoms were taken (in a very sacred way, of course) came from a lovely garden in Montreal some years ago, and has thrived in the sacred space that Deb has created there at Avena.

Tibetan Gentian

We were once again privileged to enter the gardens this year, and to spend some precious time with Deb in between her apprentice classes, to discuss everything from flower essences to the weather, and to what it means to hold a space in sacred energy as she does.

Once more, the deva of the Tibetan Gentian flower spoke to me directly. to share with me her gifts and what she holds in her pattern. Tibetan Gentian calls us to higher consciousness, above material concerns, into our true spiritual nature.

She reminds us that we not only CAN seek higher, we must, in order to be fulfilled happy beings here on the planet. Her pattern speeds us to connect directly with our own higher selves, with our higher purpose, and with Source, to know deeply what it means to be alive in the fullest and most complete sense.

Because Tibetan Gentian knows well the harsh and sometimes inhospitable atmospheres found at the highest elevations on Earth, she knows how to make the journey easy and joyful. She knows how to supply you with a direct connection to Source, without strain or discomfort.

You would want to reach for this flower essence when you have become world-weary, when the demands of life seem too much, or when you feel yourself to be out of touch with your purpose and higher realms of Light.

TIbetan Gentian calls loudly to “Come Home! It’s delicious and peaceful here!”

To the best of my knowledge, this is the first and only flower essence made from the Tibetan Gentian flower; and because of how it was made, you are unlikely to find a more pure, direct source anywhere.

Flower Essence Practitioners can order stock bottles for $25.00 plus shipping.

Well, there is good news and bad news about the Tibetan Gentian. First, I spoke with Deb Soule today, whose gardens at Avena are the location of this amazing flower.

And yes, we can get the essence made!

Now for the bad news: the bloom is finished, and we can’t make an essence from it this year. Too bad!

But Deb and I have begun a very nice phone relationship. (That’s one of the benefits of connecting with biodynamic gardeners ~ they really love Nature and the energy from the plants, at all levels.) Deb certainly does have a very special connection with the land and with the plants growing there.

And, it turns out, there may be additional flowers growing at Avena Farm that may want to have essences made. So she is going to be on alert for ones that are calling out with a message, and call me to discuss it when she finds one.

I believe this is going to mean some wonderful new flower essences coming along soon! Stay tuned.

Oh. Deb wants me to contact her again early June 2009 about the Tibetan Gentian. But I imagine we’ll be talking about other flowers long before that

This summer while traveling in Maine, I happened upon a wonderful biodynamic farm I’d not discovered before: Avena, created and operated by herbalist Deb Soule. You can always tell a biodynamic garden by its exuberance: the bees were busy (and not at all concerned about humans among the flowers); plants that are normally around 2 feet tall grew sometimes to 6 or even 8-foot heights; and the life-force energy fields are so powerful you KNOW you are among healthy, living things.

But the best discovery? Tibetan Gentian!

This sweet little flower was not quite in full bloom when I saw her, but she had a LOT to say! I took notes, and ~ because Deb was busy harvesting that day ~ when I returned home I called Deb to ask about the possibility of getting a flower essence made from Tibetan Gentian.

Tibetan Gentian

Deb was very interested, and told me that she would go out into the garden and see if the flowers were ready to be made into an essence. She feared they might be a bit past their peak, but I will know in several weeks if we are going to get one this year or not. (If not this year, next one for sure!)

This flower is a bit of a late bloomer, but consider that it’s pretty rare to find at all on this continent. I was astonished to see it here, quite happy in its bed at Avena, where there is a lot of light and love permeating everything.

When I get a chance I’ll share some other images we took that day ~ and maybe some further conversations with Deb, as we get to know each other better. If you ever want REALLY potent herbals, you should visit their store: Avena Botanicals.

You’ll hear more from me about Tibetan Gentian, once I know if we’re going to have an essence this year, or next. I’ll tell you this, though: the world is crying for its essence already!
